I'm translating some code into Python, and using openpyxl to edit an excel.
as part of this I need to remove a comment from a cell.
I tried this like this....
(I've been doing Python for 3 hours so far, so I may be doing something really stupid)
workbook = openpyxl.load_workbook('foo.xlsx')
sheet = workbook.active
firstRow = sheet[3]
firstRow[0].comment = None
workbook.save('foo2.xlsx')
the code runs...but excel claims its corrupt, so I remove this line...
firstRow[0].comment = None
and the excel opens, but clearly has the comment still in it.
How do I remove the comment?
I can clean out the comment by going
firstRow[0].comment = openpyxl.comments.Comment('','')
but obviously its still 'there'....just blank
