How to get the first child id inside the div using JQuery.

Sample code:

    <a id='a1' />   
    <a id='a2' /> 
    <a id='a3' /> 
</div>

I want to get the id a1.

I have tried $('#id1 a:first-child').html() to get the text. How to get the id?
