pytest - Get allure step uuid using Python

Question

I would like to get allure step uuid for further use. Found the solution in java but not in python:

AllureLifecycle lifecycle = Allure.getLifecycle();
System.out.println(lifecycle.getCurrentTestCase().get());

The AllureLifecycle from allure_commons.lifecycle class does not have any methods to get step uuid.

Any suggestions?
