autocomplete - Label with multiple lines

Question

I'm using a material-ui Autocomplete, and it only allows ONE selected option (is not multiple). But I want the input label with the option selected to have multiple lines.

The options are rendered as a ReactNode, let's say:

<div>{name}</div>
<div>{id}</div>

I wanted the labels to be in the same format, but it only allows strings.

• I've tried adding "multiple" on the autocomplete to enable tags, but it is not possible to limit to only one tag
• I've tried to return a string with line braks in getOptionLabel, but it ignores , <br/>, anything.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, can somebody help me?
