I would appreciate some help with this.
I would need to transform this code from SQL PySpark to a Python method.
I am comparing radiuses of two points in a map to see if they are overlapping.
If they completely overlap, I need the method returning "OVERLAP".
However, if radiuses touch each other but do not overlap 100%, I would need the method returning "INSIDE".
I have this SQL PySpark code working but I would need to translate same aproach to a Python method.
Many thanks in advance.
.when(F.col('DISTANCE') < F.array_max(F.array(F.col('RADIUSINMETERS'), F.col('RADIUSINMETERS2'))), "OVERLAP")
.when(F.col('DISTANCE') < F.col('RADIUSINMETERS') + F.col('RADIUSINMETERS2'), "INSIDE")
