driver - Unallocated External Drive Not Showing in My Computer

My WD Element external hard drive stopped showing up in My Computer when connecting it to the PC.

I tried to search for a solution, but nothing works.

In Disk Management, the New Simple Volume is disabled. The whole thing is unallocated, not just part of it.

Please let me know what I can do in simple terms.

Your Disk is Unallocated, You have to create a new partition or volume to use it.

Attention : Your Disk data will get erased Do it if you have backed up all of your data

But i can see in screenshot you are not allowed to create new volume, so format the disk and try again to create a new volume, if you still not able to create it check the disk type MBR or GPT (got to properties seen in your screen shot in pop up you all see partition style),

if it is MBR try converting it to GPT or if it is GPT try Converting it to MBR (some time it helps) and try creating new Volume (option seen in screen shot),

Conversion of disk MBR to GPT or GPT to MBR

Open CMD with Administrator permission and type commands

diskpart

 list disk
select disk # (# is your disk no will find in after list disk command)
clean (clean or delete disk #)
convert gpt (if disk type is mbr)
convert mbr (if disk type is gpt)

and then try creating new volume again
