In FEM, we need to evaluate cell and edge integrals. The integration will be converted to discrete sum. This is very different for different elements (CG1, CG2, BDM, RT, DG1, DG2). There is a concept of topology used to describe elements by assigning DOF to node, edge, and cell of an element. This topology is very different for each elements like CG1, CG2, BDM, RT, DG1, DG2. Is it possible to generalize this transformation of integration to finite sum, using this topology?
CG1: topo: node0 -> dof0
node1 -> dof1
node2 -> dof2
DG1: topo: cell -> dof0, dof1, dof2
