bulkinsert - Googlesheets - Is there a tool for bulk editing an identical collection of workbooks (not worksheets!)

Question

There seem to be some tools for editing multiple sheets that live in the same workbook (to use Excel terminology). But I can't find any tools for applying the same change to many workbooks.

I have created a sports results collection process where each club is given a link to their entries workbook where they enter their athlete names and times in to a preconfigured workbook.

I then use query()/importrange() to collate all the different club's results in to a summary workbook for sorting and filtering in to a global set of results. Works great BUT if I need to make a change to the entry workbooks the clubs use, I have to edit each one separately which takes ages given there can be 50 of them!

I don't really want to write a script because the changes can be anything from a column name typo fix , editing a named range to adding a new column etc..

I am thinking of using importrange in each Club's entry sheet to pull heading titles from a master workbook but that will only solve part of my issue?
