combobox - Combo box formatting

Question

I apologize in advance. I am trying to edit a file that I did not create, and I am very new to this.

I have a combo box that is formation for a 6 digit serial number. I now have serial numbers that include a letter at the beginning. How do I make it accept both 6 digits and 5 digits with a letter?

Any help would be appreciated!
