fixed - Panel regression with group standardized dependent variable

I am running a panel data model with fixed effects where my dependent variable is an index that was standardized at the group level. This implies that the mean value will always be 0 for each group, with no variation across groups.

I am not really interested in explaining variation across groups, as the analysis focuses on within group variation. Sitll, I was wondering if the structure of my dataset violates some assumptions of panel data regression.
