ssh - A library required to use UDP for data transfer?

I want to add an UDP channel to my service (on Linux) for data transport. Now I know there is libudt (see: https://udt.sourceforge.io/). I would like to know, is there always a library like this required transfer data over UDP. Maybe with some right information I can write it myself, using the specific properties of the protocol used (SSH, uses an unique sequence id per message, and a 4 byte length header, with encryption and a hmac).

Thanks in advance,

Stef Bon

BTW my service is https://github.com/stefbon/OSNS which offers automatic mounting of SFTP shared directories over SSH, using Avahi, systemd and FUSE.
