asp.net - Repetitive fetching of data making the application slow

Question

The application fetches a lot of data from the database during the initial page load.

So I tried using session:

if (Session["model"] != null)
{
    Session["model"] = obj.spAcceptApplications((int)WorkDesk.DgnDsk, user.Usr_SID).ToList();
}

The spAcceptApplications fetches the data from the database. But since the data keeps changing the session does not update to the new data list. So what can be the solution to make the application fast as well as keep the data up to date.
