highcharts - How to give gradient color to xAxis crosshair?

Question

I'm trying to give a gradient color to the xAxis crosshair, but without success. I tried using Axis.addPlotBand() instead of crosshair but it didn't work well.

Is there a way to change the crosshair style via the SCC? I tried to use the class '.highcharts-crosshair', but it did not affect.

In a similar matter, I wanted to know if it's possible to make the crosshair longer?
