On my system I can't run a simple Java application that start a process. I don't know how to solve.
Could you give me some hints how to solve?
The program is:
[root@newton sisma-acquirer]# cat prova.java
import java.io.IOException;
public class prova {
public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("ls");
}
}
The result is:
[root@newton sisma-acquirer]# javac prova.java && java -cp . prova

EDIT: Solution
This solves my problem, I don't know exactly why:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_memory
Up-votes for who is able to explain :)
