aws appsync - Generate GraphQL extended schema

Question

I'm relatively new to the world of GraphQL and I want to know if there is a tool that takes a simple schema (like the following) and extends it to include input filtering and maybe other stuff:

type Record @model
{
    id: Int!
    date: String
    latitude: Float
    longitude: Float
}
