unzip - Zip file - why does one program think it is part of a multiple set?

Is there a setting in the zip file header I could change to indicate that the zip file is not part of a set - as it is not?

A bespoke application I use backups files into a new zip file each time it is run. Usually the built-in restore procedure works easily, but when I attempt to restore a backup made today, the program believes it is part of a "multiple set" and asks me to insert the first disk of the set. As it is NOT part of a multiple set, I cannot do this, so cannot restore the data.

I have no idea if it thinks the zip file has been split, spanned or what, as this has not happened before and I do not know the backup logic of the bespoke program.

I suspect the parameter to change must be very simple, as 7-zip extracts the files without problem, but this is not helpful, as the bespoke restore also merges data from some of the files.
