I wanted to use the method BiometricManager.canAuthenticate(int) The one with int as parameter. as introduced in SDK 30. But Android Studio displays the following error Error:(109, 60) 'canAuthenticate()' in 'androidx.biometric.BiometricManager' cannot be applied to '(int)'
obviously the method exists and I also set the target SDK to 30.
This is my build.gradle:
plugins {
id 'com.android.application'
}
android {
compileSdkVersion 30
buildToolsVersion "30.0.2"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.besendorf.androidsecurityscanner"
minSdkVersion 23
targetSdkVersion 30
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
testInstrumentationRunner "androidx.test.runner.AndroidJUnitRunner"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android-optimize.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
compileOptions {
sourceCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
targetCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
}
}
dependencies {
implementation 'androidx.biometric:biometric:1.0.1'
implementation 'androidx.appcompat:appcompat:1.2.0'
implementation 'com.google.android.material:material:1.2.1'
implementation 'androidx.constraintlayout:constraintlayout:2.0.4'
testImplementation 'junit:junit:4.+'
androidTestImplementation 'androidx.test.ext:junit:1.1.2'
androidTestImplementation 'androidx.test.espresso:espresso-core:3.3.0'
}
