python - Torchvision vision shows image extension is unsupported (.jpg opens well in opencv)

I am trying to load some (.jpg) images using torchvision.datasets.ImageFolder but I keep getting this error:

RuntimeError: Found 0 files in subfolders of: images
Supported extensions are: .jpg,.jpeg,.png,.ppm,.bmp,.pgm,.tif,.tiff,.webp

I have tried to open some of the images normally using opencv and they work fine:

img=cv2.imread('images/llama.jpg', 0)

Can someone guide me as to where the problem is? Thanks in advance

EDIT: for those asking for the source code causing the error

dataset = torchvision.datasets.ImageFolder('images')

Directory: E:images

Subdirectories: None (the only thing in the folder is the image(s) I am loading
