Deploy WordPress plugin from IntelliJ?

The JetBrains help documents describe how to configure an environment for developing a WordPress plugin.

I created a new WordPress project in IntelliJ and installed WordPress on localhost using XAMPP.

However, the help documents make no mention of how you would deploy the WordPress plugin from IntelliJ, so far I am just zipping the files and installing it from the page on http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin but this is quite a slow way of doing things.

Is there a way to deploy the plugin from IntelliJ itself?
