ios - Render a full black blur visual effect view on ios13 dark mode

Question

I wonder how to render a fully black visual effect view like messenger iOS in dark mode:

I tried all blurred styles (iOS 13 having new styles of blur https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiblureffect/style) but they are always greyed by default:

Thing is this only happens on dark mode, on light mode it's fully white on a white background. Note: Applying a backgroundColor on the visual effect view has no effect.
