java - run play framework project as proxy

Question

I am trying to run my play framework project as a proxy defined manually through my windows settings, yet I am getting an error in the logs of my project:

[warn] a.a.ActorSystemImpl - Illegal request, responding with status '400 Bad Request': CONNECT requests are not supported: Rejecting CONNECT request to 'www.google.com:443'

Is it possible to run play projects as a proxy?
