woocommerce - Quick Online Sales Tax Question (California)

Question

Quick question... If I live in California and sell physical goods online. And gross less than 50k per year... at which date was I required to start collecting California Sales Tax?

I seem to recall there was no sales tax for online sales or something? And then that changed? Just wanting to know the details of when exactly that changed?

Any websites or laws I can look at would also be appreciated!
