Gradle - Delete files with certain extension

I am using Gradle and would like to delete all files with a certain extension. Is that something Gradle can do?

Use the Gradle Delete task.

task deleteFiles(type: Delete) {
    delete fileTree('dir/foo') {
        include '**/*.ext'
    }
}
