VS Code remote SSH time out as I cannot interact with shell while VS Code is setting up SSH host

Question

As above, I need to hit space multiple times to finish the SSH host setup. However, as below, on VS Code SSH extension, I cannot interact with the shell, so I cannot press space multiple times, and since I cannot finish the host setup, I get time out error.

On VS Code, how do I interact with the shell while it is setting up SSH host?
