c# - Is there a way to add code to a word doc that will call a url when opened?

I am looking for some guidance on if this is even possible, I am working on a project to test companies resilience to usb drop attacks. So I want to be able to give the user the option to name a file and file type and then download the file with some code in it that calls to an API when its opened. This will be used to track which files are opened and keep a tally of which files are opened the most.
