twitter - Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds in R?

Question

I am trying to stream data from twitter using twitter api, rtweet and search tweets. When I do this code:

tweets1 <- search_tweets2("company", retryonratelimit = TRUE,include_rts=FALSE)

It comes up with this error:

Error in curl::curl_fetch_memory(url, handle = handle) : Timeout was reached: [api.twitter.com] Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds

It was happening before when I was using a different package. Then I changed packages and it started working again. Now it has started suddenly again.

My internet is fine, I've tried essentially everything on google, etc. No change. I am on a company computer.

Any ideas?
