tomcat8 - Apache Tomcat 8.5.29 cluster using Multicast(228.0.0.4) is not working between two kubernetes pods

Question

I have two Apache tomcat 8.5.29 pods with proper communication between them and i have been trying to setup cluster with this two pods using multicast IP address 228.0.0.4 and the port 45564.But the cluster is not working as i am getting the below log in the catalina.out while starting the tomcat.

skipping state transfer. No members active in cluster group.
