tar - zsh: no such file or directory: ./scripts/mysql_install_db - Issue Installing MariaDB 10.1.34 in MacOS Catalina

Question

I'm trying to install MariaDB 10.1.34 in my MacBook (OS Catalina) following the steps mentioned here,

Downloaded the .tar file from here

I'm following the steps mentioned at - Installing MariaDB as Not root in Any Directory. However, when I try the last step of executing the mysql_install_db shell script (./scripts/mysql_install_db --defaults-file=~/.my.cnf), it gives me the following error,

zsh: no such file or directory: ./scripts/mysql_install_db

But I can see that the said file(mysql_install_db.sh) do exist in the folder /usr/local/mariadb-10.1.34/scripts.

Can anyone please help me sorting this out?

Please note that I'm new to MacOS and coming from Windows background.
