statistics - How to compare two variables on different scales with a third?

I have 3 variables: age, salary and number of years at a company. I want to plot age along the x axis. I then want to create a variable from salary and the numbers of years at a company so that I can compare them on a similar scale eg one person might have a high salary but have worked for 40 years, compared to another person who has a low salary and has just started.

Is there some way to standardise the salaries such that everyone is given the same number of years at the company?

Thanks
