I remember that sometime ago I did setup up so that an directory was protected thru direct access, and was only available when you where logged in WordPress. But it did that thru nginx that time.
But now I have an WordPress installation that is configured thru apache and .htaccess file.
So what I want is to have an directory in the wp-content directory that is protected and users don't have access to the files in that directory unless you are loggedin as an specifics user roles. And last time I did set up an rest route that checked if the user where logged in, and the rest route did return an boolean. But i'm not so good in apache and don't really know what to look for.
And to be clear, I don't want to password protect the diractory becuase that is all I have found when I was looking around.
I hope you guys can help me out with this :)
