audio - Sound of Android app sometimes doesn't play when installed via Playstore (always works over Android Studio USB debugging)

Question

The sound of my Android app sometimes doesn't play when the app was installed online via Playstore. The sound works reliably when the app was installed in developer mode over USB using Android Studio.

Has anyone had a similar problem and knows how to solve it?

My app uses https://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/AudioTrack in stream mode.

Instead of posting tons of code and explanations here, maybe someone knows a key difference between Playstore versus Android Studio installation methods which could cause the sound problems. Thank you.
