I am new to Azure and I want to verify my understanding of the difference between IAAS and PAAS. Multiple answers and additional information about any usual misconceptions is a great help.
When you use a PAAS servive like app service, and when you configure auto scale, you do not control where VMs will be created and Microsoft will use avalability sets without your awarness or interference, and you will not be able to change those availablity sets. The only thing you control is the region.
Please verify whether this is correct.
