python - matplotlib key_press_event repeating

Question

I have a problem when using mpl_connect with the key_press_event with a figure embedded in a wxPython frame. When I use figure.canvas.mpl_connect('key_press_event',func), my function is called multiple times, even when I have pressed a key only once. Does someone know what can I do?
