LDAP implementation for Embedded Linux

Question

I am quite new to LDAP. I successfully set up an LDAP client-server communication on Ubuntu Virtual Machine using OpenLDAP. I would like to know if there is che chance to use LDAP for Embedded Linux environment. Is OpenLDAP available also for embedded Linux?

EDIT: the embedded linux used is based on kernel version 2.6.34, the processor is a Power PC. Thanks in advance for your help.
